A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Tim Bourquin. Tim runs TraderInterviews.com a website he created to record interviews he conducts with some of the best traders around – and he wanted to interview the AtticManTrader
So why was he contacting the AtticManTrader? Tim interviews traders in the top 5%. Because he was interviewing me, had I made it to the Top 5%!! Surely not? I dropped Tim an email, explaining my predicament but that I would be happy to be interviewed!
Tim explains at the start of each interview he conducts, that he believes all traders can help each other, so even if a single part of my interview strike a chord with another trader, then the interview would be a success.
It was kind of weird to here me on the other end of a professional interview. Tim sounds so polished, and I don’t! I did realise after listening to the interview how verbose I have become. Why say 10 words when 1000’s will do!!
Anyhow, check out the interview. I’d also recommend subscribing to TraderInterviews, as Tim has done some great interviews.

I found your blog through the interview. And you *did* sound pretty polished, otherwise I wouldn’t have come to look for your blog. I am not a subscriber to TraderInterviews.com, but I *do* subscribe to their podcast on iTunes.
Anyway, you were probably wondering, if the interview would net you any new readers. So, I thought I’d let you know that, yes, it did!
I even signed up to Twitter, to follow your posts. But, honestly, I don’t get Twitter. Either I am getting old, or Twitter really is childish. I think I’ll just subscribe to your RSS feed, instead.
I am a self-directed trader. Or investor. I still don’t like to think of myself as a trader, even though that probably most closely describes what I do.
All the best with the blog and, more importantly, your trading!
Matthias
Hi Matthias,
Thanks very much for dropping by and taking the time to leave a comment on my blog. That is very much appreciated.
I was also pretty sceptical when I first signed up to Twitter. I didn’t get it at all. But then I started following a couple of traders that I had heard of (JohnFCarter and HubertSenters). Their tweets were pretty interesting, but what struck me was the access the them that I suddenly felt I had!
I’ve since become a bit of Twitter junkie – I think’s is a magnificent tool. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t using it to market the blog, because I do get a fair bit of traffic from Twitter.
If I were you, I’d give it a go. I posted a blog item on Traders That Twitter. There are some excellent Traders using Twitter – I’m sure you would find some value in it.
Good luck in your trading aswell and thanks once again for stopping by.
